I am super proud of this one. In Fall of 2025 Owen came to me about working on an animated project together. I knew I wanted to use the little digital screen he had lying around, so I spent about a week writing different iterations of ideas where the stylized events happening on the screen occurred diegetically. The finished script became a sort of continuation of one of my Sight and Sound projects from the preceeding year. I feel a bit leery of being credited as director on this one, because even though I directed the actual shoot, once we had recorded the voiceover Owen absolutely ran with it. He worked incredibly hard on the animation for months, with me only leaning in from time to time to provide pointers. We submitted it to four film festivals and it got rejected from all of them, so now we can finally share it with our massive audiences.
