Admiralty Lounge Spring & Summer Menu 2026
The Good Luck Babe was named after Chappell Roan’s hit song Pink Pony Club. I wanted to make a shaken milk punch with an approachable flavor profile, and I also wanted to work with strawberries, which are another nightmare ingredient. Strawberries have an iconic artificial taste, but the real fruit is so acidic, weak, and finicky that it took over a dozen iterations before I finally nailed it. Is it a complex or challenging or even particularly interesting drink? No. Is it tasty? Sure. Is it popular? Much to the chagrin of my more experimental drinks; yes. It sure is.
- 1.5 oz Gordon’s Gin
- 2 oz Strawberry Cordial
- 0.25 oz Strawberry Syrup
Clarified through strawberry milk.
Double shake 3.5 oz of batch, fine strain into a coupe, and garnish with a dusting of powdered freeze-dried strawberry in the shape of a heart.
Prep:
(This recipe is adjusted to be made with exactly 5 lbs of frozen strawberries)
Strawberry Syrup:
- 350g Strawberries
- 350g white sugar
- 350g water
Combine all ingredients and simmer on an induction stove at 220 Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Strain solids, then let cool.
Strawberry Cordial:
- 1450g Strawberries
- 2900ml water
- 660g sugar
- 17.1g malic acid
- 10.88g citric acid
- 3.62g tartaric acid
Combine all ingredients in a large cambro and blend until combined with an immersion blender.
Strawberry Milk:
- 2500ml whole milk
- 500g strawberries
- 200g sugar
Add all ingredients to cambro and immersion blend until smooth. If total volume of strawberry milk is not 3500ml, add whole milk until 3500ml is reached.
Milk Punch:
- 4.6L strawberry cordial
- 3.5L Gordon’s Gin
- 3.5L Strawberry Milk
Combine gin and cordial into one cambro and measure milk into a second. Pour gin and cordial mixture into milk, let sit for at least 30 minutes, then strain through fat filter, being sure to reintroduce the initial cloudy drops back into the filter.
Batch:
What, you thought we were done?
- Strawberry milk punch
- Strawberry syrup
Once milk punch is done straining, measure its volume and divide by 14. Add the result’s worth of strawberry syrup to the batch, stirring vigorously to combine. Bottle, label, and serve.
